Activity Snapshot
Activity description
An all-action adventure that explores the Cornish coastline from every angle, appreciate this unique environment on all fours as you scramble across the rocky headland, hang off rocks and tombstone into the sea! Travelling from the beach into the beyond, navigate the fascinating grotto-like Holywell Cave with its calcium deposits and at low tide, look out onto a wreck of an old Argentinian coaster that can be seen just offshore.
Activity
Meet your instructor at the activity base at the Ocean surf lodge in Newquay for this half-day coasteering excursion across the Cornish peninsula. A combination of climbing, jumping, swimming, scrambling and cliff jumping, this adventure day out is the perfect team-building activity for families and groups of friends alike. Kitted up with a wetsuit, helmet and life vest, learn the basics of coasteering before setting off along the peninsula, practising safe entry and exit and very small jumps, exploring secluded beaches, secret caves and if you’re lucky you might meet ‘Sammy the seal’, who likes to get up close and personal. This is also an optional cliff jump for added thrill factor – not mandatory but strongly recommended! The session finishes back at the meeting point for debriefing.
